"I SURVIVED THE "LIVE-BAIT" SQUADRON

The "Live-Bait Squadron" was the name given to three elderly cruisers considered extremely vulnerable to attack. Over 1450 men perished when they were sunk by submarine, a number of Dover men amongst them. This is how one fortunate man survived.
