Mobile Exhibition 2011
"LOVE STORIES:
A DAY TO REMEMBER"
Created to commemorate the wedding of HRH Prince William of
Wales to Miss Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011, the
exhibition featured weddings of Dover people, all with war-time
stories to tell.
The display was in two formats for various venues. In
framed-photographic form it opened at "Brides of
Faversham" in Castle Street, Dover, in April 2011, to help raise
funds for the 90th Anniversary of the British Legion. This
version then moved to Dover Library in the Market Square.
On the left is how the display
appeared at the library.
The second version, on boards,
accompanied various talks by, and
presentations and awards to, The Dover War Memorial Project,
throughout the summer of 2011.
On the right is how the display,
with additional materials, appeared at the Deal Rotary Club
lunch on 23 May 2011.
