Mobile Exhibition 2010
"70 YEARS ON - THE
SUMMER OF 1940"
The exhibition
contained four major panels (below) and several others. The
display began at the Town Hall, Dover, and then ran from 10 June 2010 to 8 September in
the public library at Dover, with artefacts kindly
lent by Shoreham Aircraft Museum, near Sevenoaks. It moved
finally to SS Peter and Paul, Charlton, Dover, for the Battle of
Britain 70th Anniversary commemorative service.
Above is the display as it appeared in the Town Hall, at the
70th anniversary commemoration of the evacuation of children
from Dover on 2 June 1940.
