“THE UNKNOWN”

The Parish was virtually destroyed by enemy action in the Second World War, and the church, which was the second for the Parish, was eventually demolished. The original St James church was severely damaged by shellfire and was left as ruins to commemorate the suffering of Dovorians under enemy bombardment

The list is now contained in the St Mary's Book of Remembrance
